Leadership Scale: 21 – 27 (£72,483 - £83,956)

Broad Heath Primary School is at the heart of the diverse and lively community of Foleshill.  The school welcomes that diversity and aims to ensure that all pupils gain from every activity they do, from the moment they come through the school gates, to the time they go home.

Broad Heath is an incredible school that our community is justifiably proud of.  As our headteacher is retiring, we are now looking for a new person to take us on the next steps in our journey.  The governors, staff and children wish to appoint an inspirational Headteacher. They will be a highly motivated, caring and energetic leader who will inspire and nurture our children with a broad and creative curriculum and who will understand our shared vision of wanting every child to gain from their school experiences, each and every day.

We are looking for a Headteacher who is:

- a caring and committed leader who has high ambitions for all staff and pupils while nurturing their personal growth and wellbeing;

- an experienced leader who can nurture outstanding teaching skills whilst also taking a strategic role in further school improvement;

- able to develop strategic plans to raise standards, whilst promoting and celebrating the achievements of all children and staff;

- able to articulate and demonstrate a clear understanding of effective leadership and management within schools;

- committed to working with children, parents and staff to build upon the current high standards across the school and community;

- an open, honest and effective communicator who is approachable and leads by example, taking ownership of the school and being recognised in the community as the ‘Face of the School’;

- someone who understands our values and our strengths and has the ability and imagination to help further develop the wonderful range of activities and experiences that our children benefit from;

-  a visionary leader with drive, energy, resilience and a forward-thinking, positive outlook.

Completed applications forms should be submitted no later than noon on Thursday 20th April, using the application form provided online.  Applicants are asked to use the personal statement section of the application form to explain how their skills, knowledge and experience meet the requirements laid out in the person specification (guide – 2000 words).
