Our children at Aldermoor Farm Primary School are amazing, and so are our staff, who work collaboratively across our three-form entry school with SEN provision. Professional development has been key to our rapid journey of improvement and ongoing success. What is the job role?
The Deputy Head will be responsible for working with and supporting the senior leadership team on the following key school leadership and management areas. This will involve accepting responsibility for aspects of these key areas.
- Strategic direction and development of the school
- Teaching and Learning
- Leading and Managing Staff
- Efficient and effective deployment of staff and resources
- Accountability
Hours: 1 day per week
Contract type: Fixed Term
Who are we looking for?
Aldermoor Farm Primary school is looking to appoint a passionate, enthusiastic and innovative Deputy Head teacher for 1 day per week. Experience in Early years is essential.
This position may suit someone looking for a secondment, in agreement with their current school.
The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment for our children. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a range of skills:
- A strong, reflective practitioner who is keen to progress
- Experience as a senior leader
- A leader who leads by example, champions others and has a thirst for school improvement
- Works well in a team with a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude
- Confidently able to create a calm and safe learning environment which supports children to self-regulate and take responsibility for their behaviour
