About the team we are recruiting to
Park Hill is a happy school. Children enjoy coming to school. Parents and carers are supportive – they are keen to work in partnership with staff to improve outcomes for their children. Staff morale is very good, we care about staff and staff retention is excellent.
Our ethos at Park Hill is FAMILY. We want every child at Park Hill to feel that they belong and that they are valued. Children belong, and contribute to the Park Hill family. They are also part of a smaller HOUSE TEAM where children are mixed across the school into four teams. Day to day children then belong to their CLASS FAMILY - each named after a tree. Children remain in their house team and 'family' group throughout their time at Park Hill and grow a strong sense of respect for one another.
This is an exciting time for our school, recently Park Hill was inspected by OFSTED and we were delighted that they agreed with us – that we continue to be a good school (we like to think that we are very good!) Most importantly, our inspection has helped to galvanise our thinking, we are clearer on our next steps and how some of those areas might move from being judged as good to being judged as being exceptional. We are excited and motivated at that word – being exceptional!
Our school was built in 1967 but it has changed a great deal since then. In more recent years, it has expanded to a two-form entry school and currently have 445 children on roll which includes our Nursery children. The school grounds are generous in size and our children benefit from a large playing field, playground, garden area and a nature trails where you will find 'Forest School' taking place. We have a floodlight all-weather ‘mini-pitch’, as well as a changing room close by.
