Nursery Manager for our 2-year-old and rising 3 Nursery Provision

Grade 6 £27,041- £32,910 full time equivalent, pro rata salary £23,361- £28,431

37 hours 8am - 4pm (5pm on Wednesday)

We are a large, friendly and very successful three form entry school in the south of the city with a 228-place nursery for children aged 2 upwards.

We are seeking to appoint a nursery room leader to join our nursery staff team in September 2021.

We are looking for an experienced early years practitioner who is an outstanding, enthusiastic and highly motivated professional, totally committed to providing our nursery children with exceptional standards of care and education. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a large team and the personal skills and qualities required to form positive relationships with parents and carers.

Applications are warmly welcomed for this post from experienced early years practitioners who hold a full and relevant qualification for early years at Level 3 or above, understand and ensure the requirements of the EYFS and Ofsted are fully met and have experience of working in a busy nursery with children from 2 years.

The successful candidate will have:

Childcare level 3 qualification or above;
Experience in working with 2-year-old and rising 3 children and managing a team of nursery staff;
Robust knowledge of the EYFS and other childcare legislations;
Good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills;
Positive attitude towards working with children and colleagues.

As our nursery room leader, you will lead the room and a team of early years professionals, to create and plan daily routines featuring activities that encourage children’s curiosity and interests. You will work closely alongside the nursery teacher who will lead the nursery pre-school provision for our 3 and 4-year-old nursery children. You will be a role model for other members of staff as well as for the children with your creativity and passion.
