Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprentice

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic reliable and hardworking person to join our teaching staff here at Stoke Heath Primary School as a teaching assistant. We are searching for a full-time apprentice to work with us as soon as possible. The contract will be on a term time basis only with a view to offer a permanent position upon qualification from the apprenticeship.

What is the job role?

To support the classroom teacher with their responsibility for the development and education process by providing care and supervision to children including those who have special physical, emotional and educational needs.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Who are we looking for?

Ability to acquire knowledge, understanding of Early Years Child Care Policies, Procedures and Legislation including the Code of Practice of SEN.

Capable of working with children with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, or of a relevant age.

To be able to work constructively as part of a team and be able to relate well to children and adults.

Motivated and committed to supporting children.
