What is the job role?
Finham Park 2 is an exciting co-educational academy in Coventry that opened in September 2015. Already a popular choice with local parents, we have a full cohort of Years 7 to 13 students. Our students are smart, thoughtful, inquisitive, well-behaved and polite; on entry they are significantly above the national average for attainment in English and Mathematics.
The school was set up by leaders from the ‘Outstanding’ (2015) Finham Park School and is proud to be part of and supported by the Finham Park Multi Academy Trust.
The Governors are seeking to appoint a professional and enthusiastic individual who will work both independently and alongside other staff, providing valuable support for Teaching and Learning activities, Student mental health and wellbeing and preparation for life beyond Finham Park 2. The successful candidate will mentor students, teach/deliver interventions to small groups and provide some support in lessons but will also having the potential to help students through some of the most difficult stages of their education and lives.
The role is temporary until 31st December 2023 and will work across all year groups. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work with students of all abilities. The role will need to develop relationships with these students to maximize their learning potential over their school career.
35.5 hours a week- Term time only +5days
Fixed term contract until 31st December 2023 (to be reviewed November 2023)
