What is the job role?
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive and enthusiastic team at Hollyfast Primary School. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the learning and development of our pupils across the primary age range.
As an HLTA, you will work closely with teachers to plan, deliver and assess learning activities, as well as lead whole-class teaching when required. You will also support small group interventions, help with pupil progress monitoring, and contribute to the wider life of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality learning experiences in line with the school’s curriculum
- Lead whole-class lessons in the absence of a teacher
- Provide targeted support for individual pupils and small groups
- Support teachers in the planning and assessment of lessons
- Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
- Liaise effectively with staff, parents and outside agencies where necessary
Who are we looking for?
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Holds HLTA status or equivalent qualification
Has significant experience working in a primary school setting
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Is confident in delivering lessons across the primary age range
Has a strong commitment to inclusion and raising achievement for all
Works effectively as part of a team and shows initiative
