Lay Chaplain - Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School

What is the job role?

Cardinal Wiseman Catholic Secondary school based in Coventry, wishes to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Lay Chaplain Officer to join our school pastoral team.     This is an exciting time to be part of a growing team to lead and develop the school as a faith community.   

We are looking for the right person to lead and develop whole school/year group collective worship and provide pastoral support for students, staff and families in their spiritual development and to strengthen our Catholic ethos and values. 

Salary:Romero Grade 6 £27,041 – £32,910  pro rata to term time working 

Hours: 37 hours a week –  Term time only plus 5 teacher training days

The successful candidate will: 

• Be a practising Catholic 

• Have some experience in working with children and young people

• Have some experience of leading groups of young people and adults  

• Be an articulate speaker 

• Have a professional and flexible attitude
