About Our School

Park Hill is two form entry school located in Eastern Green.  We are a busy, happy and supportive place to work, where there is always something exciting happening. We are a forward-thinking school that continually strives for improvement, seeking new and exciting ways to provide the best possible learning opportunities for all pupils.   

Our aim is to raise aspirations, inspire a lifelong love of learning and create memories to last a lifetime.  In October 2023 Park Hill was inspected by OFSTED and we were delighted that they agreed with us – that we continue to be a Good school.

What is the job role?

The Governors of Park Hill Primary School are seeking to appoint several positive, enthusiastic and committed Class Teachers to join our dedicated teaching team. We currently have the following vacancies available: a permanent full-time position, a full-time fixed-term contract for two terms to cover maternity leave, and a one-year fixed-term contract starting in September 2026, also to cover maternity leave.

The successful candidates may be based in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 and will be expected to undertake the full responsibilities of a classroom teacher.

Applicants should complete the online application form and clearly demonstrate how their skills, experience and personal qualities meet the key criteria outlined in the Job Description and Person Specification.

 Visits to our school are encouraged, these will take place on Wednesday 15th April at 9am and Friday 17th April at 1:00pm, please contact the school office to confirm your attendance.

The successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate good or outstanding classroom practice, with high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour.
  • Show a strong commitment to promoting and upholding the school’s values.
  • Be able to plan and deliver creative, engaging and stimulating learning experiences consistently.
  • Have a secure understanding of children’s learning and development across the primary age range.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for teaching and learning that motivates and inspires pupils.
  • Be committed to improving pupil progress, raising attainment and supporting the personal development and wellbeing of every child.
  • Build strong and effective working relationships with colleagues, pupils, parents and governors.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS, all relevant safeguarding and pre-employment clearances, and the receipt of two satisfactory references.
