Class Teacher - St Christopher Primary School

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

What is the job role?

Permanent (Fixed Term for ECT)

We are looking for a talented Class Teacher who will provide an excellent education for our pupils.

Teacher vacancies at our school are rare as our staff turnover is low.  Our staff feel incredibly valued and supported – ‘there is a genuine consideration of staff well-being’. (Ofsted 2023).

Who are we looking for?

Our staffing profile would benefit from employing a teacher with experience in Early Years or KS1 - however, our priority is to employ a great teacher, so applications from ECT’s or experienced teachers in any phase will be welcomed.

Our new teacher will:

•              Inspire, value, and suitably challenge children.

•              Have high expectations of behaviour and achievement.

•              Offer high quality teaching.

•              Demonstrate good subject knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills.

We can offer:

•              A lovely, well organised school ‘where there is a common sense of purpose and high staff morale’.

•              Children whose behaviour is ‘exemplary’; so your focus is on the teaching.

•              Friendly and supportive staff.

•              A wonderful environment within a happy community.

Please visit our website/X feed to get an insight into our school. Please come and visit us – our Headteacher Mrs Clair Robinson will be delighted to show you around and chat about the role – contact the school on 02476675017 or email webenquiry@st-christopher.coventry.sch.uk

Please apply using the online application form ensuring you outline your skills, abilities, and experience in line with the key areas on the advert and Job Description and Person Specification

Closing date:   Sunday 19th May 2024

Interview date:  Wednesday 22nd May 2024

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS.

Following recommendations from Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) for an additional pre employment check with effect 1 Sept 22, please note, an online search may form part of this recruitment process.
