Part-Time Nursery Teacher (Mornings Only)
Permanent
Start date – Sept 2026
We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled and committed Nursery Teacher to join our Early Years team on a permanent, part-time basis (mornings only).
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a large, well-established nursery provision that plays a vital role in giving children the strongest possible start to school life.
About our Nursery
Our nursery provision offers 78 places each morning and 65 places each afternoon, operating across two well-resourced rooms. The successful candidate will lead their own nursery room in the mornings, working alongside another experienced Nursery Teacher and a dedicated team of support staff across the provision.
This is a significant and dynamic early years environment, requiring strong organisation, clear leadership and a deep understanding of high-quality EYFS practice.
Who are we looking for?
As a Nursery Teacher (mornings), you will:
- Lead your nursery room each morning, taking responsibility for the quality of provision, progress and outcomes.
- Plan and deliver a well-sequenced curriculum that secures strong progress from children’s starting points.
- Create a language-rich environment where communication and personal development are prioritised.
- Deploy and develop support staff effectively to maximise high-quality adult–child interactions.
- Work collaboratively with the other Nursery Teacher to ensure consistency, coherence and shared high expectations across the two rooms.
- Build positive relationships with families to support children’s wellbeing and development.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a strong understanding of what outstanding EYFS provision looks like in practice.
- Demonstrates high expectations for all children, including those with additional needs.
- Understands the importance of adult interactions in driving progress.
- Is organised, reflective and committed to continual improvement.

- What does outstanding EYFS provision look like in practice?
- How would you deploy support staff in a nursery classroom to maximise children’s learning?
You will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Successful primary teaching experience.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Excellent communication and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A passion for inspiring children and making a positive difference.
