The Governors of Wyken Croft Primary School are excited to offer a new role within our Pastoral team. We require an Attendance Officer to join our team as soon as possible from September 2024. The role is a full time position term time only. 

Wyken Croft provides an excellent environment for all of the stakeholders of the school. About the team we are recruiting to

This role will enhance our established Pastoral Team. We are looking for someone who is motivated and committed to supporting young people and their families in their school environment and understands the challenges facing pupils from disadvantaged communities.

The successful candidate must have a proven track record of working with vulnerable young people and children. 

What is the job role?

The role is for a full time attendance officer working in partnership with the pastoral team and the senior leaders of the school. We can offer;-

Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will need to;-

  • Have a good understanding of mentoring relationships with disadvantaged pupils
  • Have the knowledge and understanding of safeguarding in relation to the education sector
  • Have a proven track record of working with vulnerable young people/children
  • Have experience of maintaining accurate data in a MIS
  • Have experience of working effectively with a variety of agencies to support families
  • Have experience of partnership working and have the skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with partners and stakeholders

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS.
