Teaching Assistant - St. Andrew's CE Infant School

 

What is the job role?

St Andrew’s is a popular two-form entry infant school situated in a semi-rural location on the outskirts of Coventry. Our pupils are happy, enthusiastic, and well-behaved learners who make our school a fantastic place to be. All members of our school community work together to live out our school values of respect, responsibility, and peace. We are currently looking to recruit new colleagues to join our team of dedicated teaching assistants. Who are we looking for?

We are looking to appoint experienced teaching assistants who:

  • Have recent experience of working with children aged 3 to 7 years.
  • Have experience of supporting children to become  confident readers, writers and mathematicians.
  • Have experience of supporting children with additional needs, (physical, educational and emotional)
  • Recognise and celebrate the uniqueness of every child.
  • Use positive behaviour management strategies and demonstrates a compassionate and restorative approach to dealing with behaviours.
  • Work effectively with colleagues as part of a team.
  • Whose personal values align with those of our school.
  • Will actively contribute to school life and the wider community.
  • Possesses a sense of humour, positive outlook and have empathy.
  •  Are reflective practitioners who recognises the importance of professional learning.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS, all relevant safeguarding and pre-employment clearances, and the receipt of two satisfactory references.
