Attendance Officer - Cardinal Newman Catholic School

What is the job role?

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join our administration team. The school has a statutory duty in respect of Attendance and this administrative role is instrumental in pro actively driving the administration element of Attendance. We are looking for someone with elevated skills to provide support to the school on Attendance.

Who are we looking for?

If you have the below skills and experience, please apply:

• Demonstrable staff management experience.

• Persuasive communication skills to consult effectively with staff, parents / carers, and children.

• Good analytical skills to maintain accurate and timely information to identify pupils at risk of poor attendance.

• Experience of working in a busy environment, ability to work to tight timescales, and prioritise competing demands.

• Change management experience.

• Strong IT skills in Microsoft Applications, excel, word, excel and Outlook.

• Excellent organisational skills; be adaptable and flexible in their approach to work.

• The ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines, cope with interruptions, perform accurately and remain calm under pressure.

• Be able to make evidence informed decisions that improve attendance process and procedure.
