Admin Assistant - Moseley Primary School

Moseley Primary School is seeking a highly organised, friendly, and professional Administrative Assistant to join our busy school office team. This is a key front-facing role where you will act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff, helping to create a welcoming and efficient school environment.
 
 Working closely with the Office Manager and Senior Leadership Team, you will provide a wide range of administrative and financial support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school.

What is the job role?

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional and welcoming reception service for visitors, parents, and pupils
  • Manage telephone enquiries, messages, and appointments efficiently
  • Support school administration including letters, newsletters, and communications
  • Coordinate and manage bookings for wraparound care (EDGE Club)
  • Produce invoices, reconcile payments, and maintain accurate financial records
  • Assist with administration of school trips, clubs, and events
  • Maintain accurate pupil, financial, and administrative records
  • Support ordering goods and monitor office supplies
  • Liaise with external agencies, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • Ensure safeguarding, data protection, and school policies are followed at all times

Who are we looking for?

Experience in an administrative or office-based role (school experience desirable)

Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload effectively

Confident and professional communication skills

Competence using IT systems (Word, Excel, Outlook; Bromcom desirable)

Experience or understanding of financial administration

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks

Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE level or equivalent)

A welcoming and supportive school community
