Volunteer Coordinator
Who are we looking for?
*This is not a Coventry City Council vacancy*
Fulltime c £23,000
We need an experienced, dynamic, and collaborative volunteer co-ordinator to manage and develop the volunteer programme.
Historic Coventry Trust is an ambitious and entrepreneurial heritage development trust with a mission to act as the champion of all heritage at risk in Coventry and to become its permanent guardian. Our vision is to find innovative ways to sustain historic places and to inspire, involve and connect people with the city’s heritage.
In the last ten years we have completed restoration and transfer of 19 buildings to the Trust, opening a new music venue and 6 holiday cottages to the public, as well as running a growing creative programme of activities and events.
Over the last two years we have implemented a new volunteering programme from the ground up. We are now looking for a new full-time volunteer co-ordinator to nurture the existing and develop the volunteer team, ensuring our portfolio wide volunteering programme is at the heart of our success.
This is a varied and dynamic role which involves working indoors and outdoors with a wide range of individuals, corporate teams, funders and partners. You will also play an essential role in opening Charterhouse as a new visitor attraction, as we move onto the next phase of project development and delivery.
If you have experience in the successful management of volunteering programmes, engagement, managing and motivating people and can inspire others by engaging them in stories of Coventry’s past then this is an opportunity for you.
