What is the job role?

In this exciting role you will help in shaping Coventry’s future transportation vision to support our ambition to be a top ten city where everybody can share in the benefits of growth.

The successful candidate will be part of the Transport and Innovation service, working across Highways Development Management and Transport Strategy teams. The Highways Development Management work will focus on delivering sustainable growth within the city in line with our Transport and Land Use Strategies. The Transport Strategy work will involve working with a range of internal and external stake holders to ensure that transport strategies adopted for all development proposals accord with our transport policy principles. 

Who are we looking for?

You will work closely with other members and service areas across the Transport & Highways division,  helping to deliver major sustainable urban extensions, city centre regeneration, and a wide range of other types of development across the city. This will include promoting transport infrastructure projects such as the innovative Very Light Rail scheme, ensuring that such schemes are embedded in major developments.
