What is the job role?
We are looking for a strong team leader to rise to the challenge, of initiating and embedding a Trauma Informed methodology and leading on introducing the 0 -8 operational practice into the wider EOC Services.
You will lead on initiating the preparation of embedding trauma informed practice methodologies into the workforce, with the focus on introducing a trauma informed work approach across the wider Coventry children’s services.
You will also set in motion the necessary action plans for merging the operations for the entire EOC service to implement the 0 – 8-year age range, with the key focus of all operational services being targeted at 0 – 18 years respectively.
In this role you will support on directly line managing practitioners in the Core EOC team, also providing leadership and management to staff in the absence of their direct line managers. This will entail leading and supervising practitioners working with Children and young people open to Coventry children’s social care services, that are a risk of entering the care system by directing, guiding, and supporting their work with children and young people to safely remain at home.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Who are we looking for?
It is essential that you bring experience of working with “Children & Families” within a 0 – 8 years age range, and it would be desirable for you to hold or work towards a Level 5 Management /Level 4 NVQ in Children & Young people’s work.
