About the team we are recruiting to

The All Age Disability Team, work with adults, with a range of disabilities and or complex health needs. Our focus is on maintaining independence and using a strengths based model to enable people living in Coventry to maximise their outcomes.

What is the job role?

We have an exciting opportunity for someone looking to join a dynamic motivated group of professionals. The role is ideal for someone already in a team leader post or a social worker looking to develop their career. 

We are looking for a team leader to support and lead our Social Workers and Community Case Workers within their roles. You will be expected to carry out professional supervision and support the development of your team and their continuous professional development.  

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Who are we looking for?

This is a challenging but fulfilling role, within a busy vibrant team. We are looking for a qualified Social Worker who is registered with Social Work England, who has experience of working within Adult Social Care.

The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and be able to support their team with working within this legislation.  We are looking for an individual who is committed to improving the lives of adults with disabilities, and who understands the impact of the inequalities faced by people with disabilities. 

As this is a supervisory role the ideal candidate will have a good understanding of reflective  supervision.
