Teaching and Learning Assistant - Corley Centre
What is the job role?
Corley Centre is looking to appoint four Teaching and Learning Assistants to contribute to and support student learning within Key Stages 3 and 4. These vacancies have arisen following staff moving to take up teacher training and increased pupil numbers within the school
Corley Centre is a secondary special school for children with complex communication and interaction difficulties. A significant number of students have an autism diagnosis.
Governors are looking to appoint a calm, creative, enthusiastic and hard-working individual, with a positive mind-set, who is prepared to contribute fully to all aspects of school life and work as part of a dedicated team to enhance our students’ learning and personal development.
The successful candidate will demonstrate high standards of literacy in reading, writing and spoken language and will be skilled in utilising this knowledge to engage, support and develop the literacy of students up to GCSE level.
Induction and training will be provided to all new staff.
Work Pattern
35 hours per week, 39 weeks term time only

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
