Teaching Assistants - Tiverton School

What is the job role?

Tiverton School is a small Primary Special Needs school. We have 121 pupils on roll who come from Coventry and all have an EHC Plan of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Our pupils are at the heart of all we do. We are increasing our pupil numbers from September 2024 to 131 and are looking for Teaching Assistants to join our school.

We were graded ‘Good’ in our most recent OFSTED inspection.

The Headteacher and Governors recognise the immense and valuable role played by all staff at the school.

The role of the Teaching Assistant (TA) at Tiverton is invaluable in supporting the teaching, learning, care and behaviour for all pupils across the primary school.

Who are we looking for?

We are now looking to recruit for Teaching Assistants to join our school.  You will need to hold an NVQ 2 qualification (or equivalent) or above.

Working hours will be:

35 hours per week, 39 weeks term time only

Monday – 8.30am – 4.30pm

Tuesday – Thursday 8.30am – 4.15pm

Friday – 8.30am – 3.30pm

*15 minute unpaid break in the morning and 30 minute unpaid lunch break*
