What is the job role?
We are keen to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teaching assistant to support children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, to start January/February 2024. The contract is fixed term initially ending on 31/07/2024, with a potential to extend if necessary due to need across the school.
You will work with our teaching staff to provide learning support for the pupils, and assist in the management of the classroom. Plan and lead on intervention work to provide 1-2-1 support, or in small groups outside the main teaching area.
The successful candidate will work with a range of children with EHCPs, delivering interventions and supporting both in whole class learning and small group setting. The successful candidate will also provide dedicated 1:1 support for children with Educational Health Care Plan’s.

We would expect candidates to have a level 3 teaching assistant qualification. Any additional training or qualification regarding Special Educational Needs would be advantageous. For further detail please refer to the Job description and person specification.
Working days/hours is term time only plus one additional week to cover training needs and requirements. The working pattern is;
- Monday – 12:00pm – 4:00pm
- Tuesday – 12:00pm – 4:00pm
- Wednesday – 12:00pm – 4:00pm
- Thursday – 12:00pm – 4:00pm
- Friday – 8:30am – 4:00pm
