Henley Green is a modern two - form entry Primary School with well-behaved pupils and a strong, motivated team of staff and Governors

We would like to appoint an experienced, high performing practitioner who will be able to lead English across the school.

We would like a passionate and creative individual who has high expectations for children.

We have a strong Leadership Team with a focus on school improvement with the aim of ensuring that the curriculum is challenging and stimulating and is designed to suit the needs of our pupils and the community we serve.

The successful candidate will lead the teaching of English, in order to secure high quality teaching and learning and the effective use of resources to bring about improved standards of achievement for all pupils.

This may include coaching, mentoring and development of staff with regard to English teaching.

The post will include some teaching commitment, but we can offer realistic time out of class to fulfill this challenging and exciting role.

Expectations of the successful candidate are that you:

  • Are passionate about the subject
  • Are an excellent practitioner
  • Have experience of RWI
  • Can model and develop high quality teaching
  • Will lead CPD, coaching and mentoring
  • Be confident in the use of data and assessment to raise standards
  • Will devise your action plan - leading and implementing it across the school
