About the team we are recruiting to

HR Digital Services is a small, busy, vibrant and innovative team that provides digital, ICT and data services for Human Resources. 

The Council’s People Plan sets out the HR service’s ambitions to inspire others, and drive and secure opportunities to improve and transform the services we offer to the citizens of Coventry.  Our role within that is to lead the development of digital service delivery for HR across the Council and for our external customers. This includes systems and data with some of our key priorities for the year being the development of our corporate systems, the implementation of a data warehouse, and the migration of our operational reporting services to new tools.

As well as delivering projects, we undertake a range of system administration activities for the HR systems, including Resourcing, Online Learning, HR Casework, Occupational Health, Safety & Wellbeing and our management information databases.

What is the job role?

We are seeking a conscientious System Support Officer who would like to work with our Resourcing Team who are committed to finding the best talent for Coventry City Council.  We work hard with our Hiring Managers to attract the best candidates and onboard into post as quickly as we can. 

This is a part time role of 18.5 hours, to be worked over 4 or 5 days per week.  We work on a hybrid basis, typically 2-3 days per week in the office.  The salary advertised will be pro-rated for the hours worked.  For 18.5 hours the actual salary will be £12,248 to £15,076.

Who are we looking for?

We require someone with business system support experience who would like to work with us to maximise and develop how we use our Resourcing Applicant Tracking system.  You will have an eye for detail and work at high levels of accuracy across a number of crucial areas with the ability to handle confidential information sensitively.

As part of the team you will also help build our capacity to produce high quality reporting on the outputs and impact of our resourcing activities.
