About the team we are recruiting to
Edgewick Community Primary School is recruiting for an enthusiastic, kind and caring Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant Apprentice - that will work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils with SEND, across the school (depending on the needs of the school).
We believe that by working in our school you will be given the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and experience that will allow you to be successfully employed in the future as a Teaching Assistant.
Training for this qualification will be provided by SCCU Group, an Ofsted good training provider. Our tuition is all delivered in the workplace and bespoke to your particular role.
Training provider benefits:

Working week: 35 hours per week, 5 days per week working term time only plus training days.
Fixed term for 12 – 18 months
Wage: £8.60 per hour for the first 12 months then NMW for the remaining time.
Apprenticeship Standard and Level
• Early Years Level 2 qualification 12 months practical with an additional 2 months End Point Assessment period
or
• Support in Teaching & Learning Level 3 Standard, 18 months practical with an additional 2 months End Point Assessment period.
• Functional Skills in Maths, English (if required).
