What is the job role?

The Governors of John Shelton Primary School are seeking to appoint a Site Services Officer from 1st July 2023. We are looking to add to our team an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated person who would like to provide a key role in maintaining our school site, to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community. The children are the heart of our school and we are seeking someone with the same outlook and ethos as the John Shelton School team.

Duties will include:

• Lock and unlock the school and carry out security checks on the building

• Carry out and record basic checks and help maintain Health and Safety records

• Supporting the maintenance of property and grounds including liaising with contractors

• Monitor site stock and order supplies

• Experience of DIY and ability to carry out minor repairs, general maintenance and decorating competently

• Willingness to attend training courses including Health and Safety

John Shelton Primary School wish to permanently appoint a reliable, trustworthy and flexible person for the post of Site Service Officer who has a proven track record of undertaking maintenance and repair work and is prepared to liaise with external contractors when required and has a high expectations of themselves and others

Work Pattern: 20 hours per week, all year round
