Site Service Officer - Gosford Park Primary

At Gosford Park, our school aims to equip our pupils with the tools they need to succeed in the next stage of their development, whilst nurturing curious learners who are responsible members of the local, national and global community.

What is the job role?

Our teaching staff, the children, staff and governors of this happy and successful Primary and Nursery School have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to join our friendly school team. We are looking for someone with physical stamina who is conscientious and self-motivated, has initiative and creativity, great observational skills and the ability to be pro-active in identifying and resolving tasks as they occur.

You will have a key role in maintaining our school to ensure a clean, safe, and secure learning environment for our pupils and the local community:

•    Lock and / or unlock the school; to include locking up school each day.

•    Carry out and record security /site checks on the buildings and grounds

•    Be responsible for the Health & Safety of those on site; help maintain Health and Safety records, including COSHH

•    Maintenance of property and grounds to a high standard including carrying out daily safety checks, reactive repair works, litter picking, leaf clearance and snow clearance and gritting during adverse weather conditions.

•    Liaising with outside contractors undertaking work on behalf of the school.

 •    Monitor site premises stock and order supplies

•    Manage a team of 4 cleaners to provide a clean and safe environment

•    Willingness to attend training courses including Health and Safety

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS.
