In our Professional Support Service, you'll play a vital role, supporting Children’s Services on an administrative basis, you'll contribute significantly to Children’s Services, ensuring positive outcomes for vulnerable children and families. What is the job role?

We are seeking to recruit a highly efficient, flexible and skilled systems coordinator to support the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) Service in Coventry.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing, developing, digitalising, and maintaining business systems to enable and increase the efficiency of LADO Service operations.
  • Producing and analysing complex performance data - both quantitative and qualitative.
  • Assisting the service manager in evaluating and reporting performance, in accordance with Local Authority performance indicators, for senior leaders and key stakeholders.  
  • Ability to draw on a range of data sources, including external performance indicators, such as feedback/ complaints, and to identify trends/ patterns to respond to in practice.    
  • Accurately, efficiently and professionally minute highly sensitive and confidential meetings, including LADO Position of Trust meetings held in the event of allegations being made against staff & volunteers who work with children. 
  • Liaising with a range of professional agencies as required (such as Health, Police, Education, and Children's Services).
  • Working alongside IT colleagues to develop and maintain accurate, efficient and effective workload/ workflow management and reporting systems to support quality, timeliness, and consistency of LADO practice.
  • Tracking and pursuing progress of referrals with partner agencies, to support timely resolutions/ decision-making and closures to the LADO Service.
  • To operate within key IT systems as required by Service Manager within the LADO Service.
  • Supporting the council's digitalisation transformation and maximising benefits for the LADO Service.
  • Arranging, coordinating and facilitating meetings.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and as such, appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
