Senior Town Planners & Principal Town Planners Register

About the team we are recruiting to

Coventry is the UK City of Culture in 2021 and the transformation of our city is already gathering pace in preparation.

The Planning and Regulation team is made up of multi-disciplinary professionals including planning, conservation, urban design and landscape, building control, environmental protection, housing strategy, licensing, food safety, trading standards and consumer protection with associated enforcement functions.

We are seeking positive, experienced, enthusiastic, talented and driven professionals who care about the development of our great city to join our busy, top performing, forward thinking planning department.

What is the job role?

Whilst we might not have live vacancies in the Planning Services, we are looking for you to register your interest with your skills and expertise as a qualified planning officer with chartered status. We are looking for Planners who have experience of working in a professional planning roles. You will help shape this exciting time for Coventry and join our top performing and forward-thinking planning department!

Who are we looking for?

Do you hold a qualification in a planning related subject?

Are you a planning professional with sound knowledge of working within Development Management?

As a Senior Town Planner you will have experience of working in a diverse and dynamic Planning Team, dealing with a wide variety of applications and delivering excellent customer service. You will have a sound knowledge of working within Development Management. To be considered for this role you must be eligible for full membership of the RTPI and hold a valid full UK driving licence. As a Principle Town Planner you will be a full member of the RTPI, you will also have all of the above experience. To find out further information about the Principle Town Planner role please see the job description and person specification attached below.
