What is the job role?
As a Senior Practitioner within our Children’s Services West Area Team, you will assume a crucial role in managing and delivering effective and efficient services for children, young people, and their families.
Your responsibilities include providing professional supervision, adhering to Social Work England's code of practice, and contributing to team development. This role involves complex assessments, case management, and collaboration with other agencies to ensure the well-being of service users. Flexibility and commitment to working outside office hours are essential to meet the diverse needs of families.
All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Who are we looking for?
The Help and Protection West Area Team are seeking to recruit a Senior Practitioner who is an inclusive leader who values diversity and promote a culture of respect, collaboration and continuous improvement. We are seeking a person who is committed to creating an environment where every individual feels valued and supported.
You should be committed and passionate about practice, sharing learning and knowledge and developing others.
You will be a qualified and experienced Social Worker who has:
- A current registration with Social Work England.
- A sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- A proven ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.
- Knowledge of assessment methods, care management and casework methods.
- Experience of carrying out a range of statutory work with adults, children and housing matters.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with adults, children, young people and families
