Senior Design & Technology Technician (Inc. aspects of Health & Safety)

Grade 5: Salary Range- £22,571 - £28,226 per annum PRO RATA (actual salary range £20,172 - £25,225)

Full Time/37 hours per week: Term Time plus 3 weeks (41 weeks per year)

We are looking to appoint, an enthusiastic, creative and innovative Design and Technology Technician into a popular, and ambitious department. As a rapidly growing and now oversubscribed school this is an excellent time to join us. You will be experienced across a range of Design and Technology areas, including engineering, woodwork, metalwork, CAD/CAM, Graphic Products and Graphic Design or willing to upskill in any areas necessary.

The postholder will also be responsible for an agreed range of Health & Safety areas including whole school fire evacuation processes and procedures, working with the KMAT Premises and Estates Manager as required. Training will be provided as needed but you must be willing and able to engage fully in this additional skill area

Role Requirements:

• An experienced Design & Technology technician, experience preferably gained in a school environment
• Engineering experience is desirable
• Up to date knowledge of your specialist area for years Year’s 7 – 11 & and ideally at Post 16
• Dedicated, creative and hardworking individual
• A real willingness to learn new skills
