An exciting opportunity has arisen for somebody who is ideally a qualified SENDCo or is looking for an opportunity to become a SENDCo. Grange Farm is a two-form entry school which is highly thought of in the local community. Due to the current SENDCo going on maternity leave, the position will be a 1-year fixed contract starting in the Summer term of 2024.
The Leadership Team are looking for a committed, ambitious and creative thinking individual to carry on the good work from the current SENDCo and lead SEND at Grange Farm in their absence.
The role will require 0.4 teaching and the rest of the time will be providing support and direction to staff for the co-ordination of SEND across the school, ensuring that – alongside the school’s SLT - teaching is adapted to meet the needs of SEND pupils and recommendations from a recent SEND review are implemented.
You will be expected to communicate effectively with staff, parents and outside agencies to ensure that there is a clear pathway for pupils with SEND and also that appropriate support and high-quality provision is provided for those pupils to achieve.
You must be an exceptional classroom practitioner who is committed to developing the full potential of all children and have high expectations of pupil behaviour, attainment and progress.
We offer:
- An SLT that wishes to empower school leaders.
- Commitment to your professional development.
- A friendly school with a strong community spirit.
- Well-mannered and hardworking pupils.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
