What is the job role?

Allesley Primary School is situated on the edge of Coventry within a village setting. Our last Ofsted report judged the school to be good. We are a happy and thriving school.

We would like to appoint an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant who has a good understanding of SEND provisions in a school. The successful candidate must have experience of working with children with SEND and have the relevant knowledge to support the class teacher in assessing and developing the children.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who can offer:

• Dedicated to mentoring and supporting one pupil or else a small group of no more than six pupils

• Supporting the Classroom Teacher during lessons

• Reporting on pupils’ progress and concerns, and liaising with other School staff to ensure pupils needs are met

• Supervision of pupils during non-classroom time including extra-curricular activities and school trips

• Assisting with lesson planning and classroom preparation

• Setting work where appropriate, and marking

• Building positive relationships with your pupil/s and driving interaction and positive learning outcomes
