What is the job role?

We are looking to recruit a Registered Manager in Adult Social Care. 

Are you ready to be responsible for 3 Housing with Care schemes from their well-established ‘good’ rating to ‘outstanding’ utilising existing resources and best practice? 

The successful candidate will hold the registration with Care Quality Commission. With an assistant manager in each Scheme, you will work with them to manage the team to deliver the highest standard of care possible.  At the same time, working closely with the other Community Resource Manager, you will ensure consistency in processes and best practice across all 6 schemes, ensuring handovers to enable you to cover each other's areas when needed.  

As a leader, you will motivate and inspire the workforce to deliver outstanding care and promote and practice the ethos of user involvement in everything we do from quality assurance processes to recruitment of new staff.  

Most schemes have both long term and short-term placements and play a crucial role in supporting our colleagues in the social work teams to ensure timely discharges from hospitals and prevent hospital admissions via the use of our short term reablement placements. 

Embracing digital solutions within our services, you will lead the teams to further enhance their use of assistive technology and online care plans/risk assessments.  

Essentially, you will manage the services within a set budget, and be responsible for a number of budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and prioritising according to the needs of each service. 

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is: 

  • highly skilled, self-motivated manager who is innovative and passionate about providing a service to the highest possible standard, making a difference to individual’s lives and seeking to achieve ‘outstanding’ in CQC. 

  • who is experienced in managing either health or social care services, with strong leadership and management skills with a proven track record of improvement 

  • able to prioritise and respond to complex situations as they arise. 

and who wants to: 

  • empower and motivate staff and people who use our services to achieve their full potential 

  • promote and maintain excellent relationships with staff, people who use our services, carers, partner organisations and senior management 

  • meet the challenges of the future and continue to on our improvement journey
