About the team we are recruiting to

 

Our People & Culture Team sits within the Council’s wider Human Resources Service and has oversight of the following key functions; Employee Engagement, Organisational Culture & Values, Talent Development, Internships & Graduate Programmes, Recruitment & Compliance, Corporate Learning & Development, Leadership & Management Development, Workforce Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Workforce Planning & Early Careers.

What is the job role?

 

One of the key purposes of this role is to lead a team of 16 recruitment and compliance professionals on the effective delivery and management of a progressive, equitable and inclusive recruitment and resourcing service.

In addition, you will support the implementation of the Council’s One Coventry Plan and assist us with the delivery and implementation of our People Plan which underpins our vision to be a diverse, innovative and inspiring place to work. Attracting, encouraging and supporting the citizens of Coventry and local talent to apply for our vacancies is one of our key priorities.

 

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
 

Who are we looking for?

 

An experienced and CIPD qualified recruitment professional who can manage internal and external contracts, understands the importance of the customer journey and who is able to deliver an exceptional recruitment service which is inclusive and values driven.
