What is the job role?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and innovative analyst to lead on embedding and modelling Population Health Management (PHM) approaches within the Council and across the integrated care system in Coventry. This a shared post across our Public Health Insight and Adult Social Care teams and will require you to work proactively and collaboratively with a range of partners in different disciplines across health and social care.
You will enable and deliver high quality data insights and analysis to drive real change to improve health and care outcomes for the people of Coventry and reduce inequalities. This will involve you providing expertise and challenge into project and management teams both within and outside the Council. You will be supported by colleagues within the Council’s Insight team, as well as being part of a wider virtual PHM team across Coventry and Warwickshire ICS.
Your role will be to
- Provide analytic expertise, leadership and challenge as part of multi-disciplinary and cross-organisational project teams
- Build relationships and work collaboratively with senior stakeholders across multiple organisations to progress and champion PHM analytics transformation
- Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to facilitate data sharing, skills sharing and the development of integrated analyses and datasets
- Work with partners to solve complex problems requiring creative, innovative and possibly unorthodox approaches, with few guidelines or precedents.
- Lead in the adoption and implementation of system dynamics modelling to inform service planning and change
- Contribute to the creation of business cases and case for change documentation.
This is a time of significant change within health and care, as the new Integrated Care System (ICS) becomes established and core PHM capabilities are developed through the Coventry and Warwickshire PHM Roadmap. The ICS has set out a vision of joined-up, proactive, data-driven health and care, and you will play a key role in making this a reality in Coventry.
Who are we looking for?
You'll have specialist knowledge of health and social care datasets and excellent analytical skills and you will be able to interpret and communicate complex PHM data to inform decision-making, service redesign and transformation initiatives.
Ideally, you will have experience in SQL, system dynamics modelling and service redesign methodologies such as Logic Models.
