Post 16 Teaching Assistant - Sherbourne Fields School

What is the job role?

Do you have a passion for supporting young adults with additional needs to achieve their aspirations?

The Post 16 department in our all age special school provides an outstanding, exciting and aspirational curriculum for our oldest pupils. Pupils are given the tools and experiences they need to develop their independence, communication and problem-solving skills; alongside developing their self-advocacy and self-confidence.

You will support our dedicated team of teachers and teaching assistants to deliver a range vocational learning courses which include Hospitality, Employability Skills and Photography.

If you think you have the necessary skills, motivation and the creativity to make a real difference to the lives of young people; whilst supporting and preparing them for their onward journey as they leave Sherbourne Fields to take the next step - whether this be college education, community provision, or routes to employability such as internship, then this exciting opportunity to work in our 6th form department is for you.

A bespoke training and induction programme to support you with career progression and the support of our strong, caring and committed staff including the Governing Body and the Senior Leadership Team.

Work pattern: 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
