Early Help responds to the emerging needs of children and their families, focusing on building their resilience as well as providing help at a time when evidence indicates that support can have the most impact. Coventry continues to invest in the Early Help Service and is proud of the work that is delivered by a multi agency team from the 8 Family Hubs located in the communities across the city

Coventry is one of the 75 Local Authorities in England who has been selected to deliver services to children and families through the Family Hubs and Start for Life Programme 2022- 2025 with a aim to help improve health and education outcomes for babies, children and their families. In addition Coventry was one of the 15 Local Authorities who was selected to be a ‘trailblazer’ that would lead the way and share learning and best practise with other Local Authorities across the UK
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to become part of the team who will lead the way for others whilst learning and developing your own knowledge and skills. You will take an active role working with partner organisations, local communities and residents to achieve the best outcomes for children and families. You will be responsible for providing a parenting support offer within a family hub locality, that enables parents to access information, advice, guidance and support at the right time, promoting universal open access parenting support as well as connecting families to targeted evidenced based parenting interventions
This is a fixed term contract until March 2025
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Who are we looking for?
To apply for this role you will need:
- To be able to connect parents/carers to available parenting support within their local area that best meets their needs.
- To be able to work in partnership with local services with an aim that parents/carers receive the right help at the right time.
- To be able to work with families from diverse backgrounds in a variety of environments including accessible community venues.
- To be able to contribute and be inclusive in creating a dynamic new Family Hub Team
