'OneCov SQUAD’ is pool of people that can be called upon to provide essential support in delivering the Council’s One Coventry Plan.

What is the job role?

Following the great success of our 2024 cohort and interest, we are now re opening this exciting development opportunity for colleagues to contribute to transformational change in the council.  This would be great to add to your CPD portfolio !

This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking for professional and personal development and the chance to work with a variety of partners and colleagues across a range of services.  
 
We need people who want to get involved in delivering organisational and transformational change at the Council to be part of a new OneCov SQUAD.  
 
The role will include working with different parts of the council and partners to re-design services to enable improved outcomes for our residents, particularly those who are most in need.   
 
This is not a paid opportunity, you will still be employed and paid within your current post, and you will need to seek approval from your line manager first. 
 
We accept all applications.  You will join the ‘OneCov SQUAD’ which is a pool of people who can be called upon to provide essential support in delivering the Council’s transformation ambitions. The opportunities will be varied and ongoing, so the amount of time and how quickly you would need to be released will depend on the roles and responsibilities you have been matched to.

  • You must complete the contract information and preference details, and the Equality Monitoring form both online.
  • We will need to assess your level of experience and suitability. To capture this, we have created a number of application questions for you to respond to.  You can respond to these by either:
    • Completing the application questions on the online application form OR,
    • Submit a video or audio of your application responses. (Please use the guidance attached for support using video / audio and details of where to send it).

We recommend you use the STAR model when structuring your responses (Situation, Task, Action, Result).
