Office Manager

What is the job role?

Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic Financial and Human Resources minded person to come and lead our small, friendly admin team in the school office. 

The candidate should have excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with all external suppliers, staff and professionals within the Local Authority. The candidate should be ambitious, willing to take on new challenges and support the smooth running of the school office by being professional at all times.

As Office Manager, you will work closely with the Head Teacher and Administration Assistant; supporting the school to be financially viable, and compliant with Health and safety.

We are unique in the city as the only Maintained Nursery School. 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has skills within school finance and has experience in a school office administration environment or similar, with accurate data checking and inputting skills. 

The candidate should be familiar with a school Financial MIS system or similar management information system, be able to produce accurate inputting of financial data, be able to run reports and support the Head Teacher to lead and manage the finance and the administration of the nursery school. 

You will be expected to work on your own initiative, plan and organise your workload, to meet financial deadlines, and Financial Year End, manage interruptions and changing priorities while also working and leading a team.

Knowledge and understanding of Financial Standards, in line with Local Authority, DFE and VAT legislation would be advantageous.
