Office Manager - Stockingford Academy

Actual Salary: £20,845 - £26,068

Full Time Equivalent Salary: Grade 5 (£22,183 - £27,741 per annum)

Contract type: Permanent, 37 hours, Term time only + 4 weeks

Location: Stockingford Academy, Cross Street, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, CV10 8JH

About The Role

The school is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic person with a proven record of managing an office environment and staff team. The postholder will work at Stockingford Academy, supporting the Headteacher and reporting to the Trust Senior Office Manager.  

The successful candidate must be:

  • Self-motivated
  • Organised
  • Good with people and young children
  • Flexible and able to embrace change
  • Able to manage their own workload and the workload of their team to meet deadlines
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Ability to cope with pressure and keep calm in stressful situations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity
  • Ability to work independently and act on own initiative.

The successful candidate must have strong office management skills and be able to demonstrate experience of implementing and maintaining systems and procedures. They will have a proven track record of managing staff and the dedication & skills needed to support the headteacher providing administrative and confidential support on a daily basis in conjunction with being responsible for the smooth running of the Office function.

All staff are expected to know what to do if they have concerns about a child, take on the responsibility for providing a safe environment and promoting children’s welfare, undertake regular safeguarding and child protection training and, familiarise themselves with KCSIE part 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by the trust/academy.

Although your substantive post will be with within Stockingford Academy this is a Multi Academy Trust appointment and you may be required to undertake work in any of our schools should the need arise. A clear understanding of the role of Office Manager to the Headteacher within an Education setting is essential, along with evidence of diary management and arranging meetings and coordinating events.
