What is the job role?
Sherbourne Fields is an outstanding all age special school for pupils with a broad spectrum of need including physical disabilities, medical conditions and learning needs. The school’s population is wide ranging and diverse, with pupils from a rich mix of social and cultural backgrounds.
Here at Sherbourne Fields we have an exciting opportunity to join our multi-disciplinary team as an Occupational Therapist. With additional pupil numbers confirmed for September, we are looking to further expand our team of dedicated professionals by recruiting a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to develop our OT provision and strategies across our school. In addition, you will be responsible for evaluating and supporting children with a range of abilities, across a range of disciplines presenting findings and setting collaborative goals with those that support the students to facilitate positive outcomes. Your role would also include opportunities to deliver training, support environmental modifications as well as direct group and individual therapy sessions.
Salary: Grade 6 point 21 - 29 £25,801 – £32,029 per annum pro rata for hours/weeks worked
Work Pattern
35 hours per week (8.30am – 4.00pm Monday to Friday) term time only, plus 5 teacher training days - start September 2020

To be considered for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate specialist knowledge through experience and practice: this should include working with pupils with a diagnosis of autism as well as a wide range of physical barriers and learning need. You must also hold a recognized Occupational Therapy qualification and be registered with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
