Nursery Class Teacher and Manager - Manor Park Primary School

We are a large and successful three form entry school in the south of the city.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and passionate Early Years teacher to join our large and inspirational nursery team to lead our 143-place nursery (78 places am and 65 places pm). Children join our nursery on a part-time or full-time basis from their third birthday and stay with us until they transfer to reception.

A second teacher forms part of the staffing in the morning sessions, along with four nursery nurses who also remain in nursery each afternoon along with the nursery manager. The nursery has its own admin support and is part of the early phase of our school under the leadership of one of our non-class based assistant headteachers who takes overall leadership responsibility for EYFS in school. The nursery teacher takes a leading role in shaping and delivering the nursery curriculum for our pre-school nursery children and has line management responsibility for the second teacher and support staff. The role will be class based, with discrete weekly time for PPA and regular leadership time. The successful candidate will join our middle leadership team.

  • An outstanding, experienced and highly motivated Early Years teacher who is committed to providing children with excellent and exciting opportunities for learning and development as they start school
  • Able to work as part of a large team and demonstrate the personal skills and qualities required to form positive relationships with parents and carers

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate recent experience of working within an EYFS setting and the personal skills and qualities required for this exciting teaching position.
