Based at Lower Ford Street, we are responsible for ensuring the City Centre is kept clean, litter free and attractive for visitors and residents of Coventry.

Looking after both Street Cleansing and Grounds Maintenance is a 7 day a week task. We work closely with shop owners, tenants and other sections of the council, sharing information and working together in line with Coventry City Councils One Coventry approach.

 

What is the job role?

Part time 34 hours per week working every weekend salary will be prorata to hours worked.

Our team may be small be we are a committed hard working workforce who want Coventry City Centre to look its best not only for our City of Culture visit  but for many years to come. 

We have a position available working as part of our Street Cleansing team. You will be working 34 hours a week on a set rota which includes both Saturday and Sunday. You will be responsible for a selected area of the City Centre, ensuring the area is kept clean and tidy at all times.

Duties include litter picking, bin emptying, removals of waste and some small scale graffiti removal for which all PPE is provided.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is physically fit and able to walk for long periods of time working outdoors in all weathers. 

The required rota is:

Saturday 9:30 – 17:30

Sunday 9:30 – 17:30

Monday 9:30 – 17:30

Tuesday 9:30 – 14:00

Wednesday – Rest Day

Thursday – Rest Day

Friday 9:30 – 17:30

34hrs per week - £9.18 per hour plus 4 additional increments working every weekend.
