Middle Leader - Primary Curriculum, Assessment and Transition Leader - Woodfield School

An opportunity to join the Woodfield team has arisen for dedicated and motivated individuals with a passion for supporting young people with special educational needs.  Woodfield provides specialist SEMH education across Coventry between early years to the end of KS4.  Woodfield currently comprises a Primary and Secondary provision on split sites. 

You would be joining the school at a very exciting time as the school looks forward to joining Sidney Stringer MAT and moving to one site provision on the Woodlands School site in September 2023.  At this point the school will be one of the biggest providers of SEMH provision in the country, with the goal to the very best provision in the country and recognised as such nationally.

Your role will be to lead on the Curriculum at the primary phase and Transition between phases to ensure there is a policy in place which ensures a rich, broad and balanced education which equips children with knowledge and skills for future life.

To lead on assessment so attainment is baselined and progress tracked effectively from when they join the school until the end of Year 6 and support the secondary leads to ensure it continues into the transition years.

To ensure Transition is seamless and information about attainment and progress is shared between teachers, when students join the school, move class or phase.

To ensure curriculum information, data about progress and attainment is reported to all stakeholders regularly i.e. parents, senior leaders and governors and on the website where necessary.
