What is the job role?

Post 1 Community Support Worker – Outreach+ – 30 hours per week between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

Outreach+ is a service supports adults with disabilities to develop and maintain their independent living skills thus enabling individuals to maintain their tenancies. The role consists of supporting citizens in their own/familiar settings in the community with everyday living skills/activities to enable them to engage in their community and live independently. No two days are the same, you will hold a caseload of people that you will provide support to, Examples of support could include supporting citizens with accessing benefits, community activities, shopping, cooking, reading mail and replying to correspondence to name a few. The role does involve travelling in the Coventry area.

Post 2 Mental Health Support Worker - Axholme Services – 37 hours per week working on rolling rota, shifts include days, evenings, sleeping in duties to include working weekends and bank holidays.

Axholme Services supports citizens with enduring Mental Health illness with their recovery journey and on to independence within the community. The role entails providing practical support, advice and guidance, working alongside citizens to enable them to gain and maintain independent living skills working in the core unit and delivering outreach to citizen’s living in the community.

These posts are exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has a passion for working with people and supporting people to achieve their desired outcomes.

Experience is not essential but enthusiasm, the ability to encourage people, respect citizens’ rights and choices whilst always treating people with dignity and respect are essential.
