About the team we are recruiting to

Fleet Management is a key support service for many internal and external customers at Coventry City Council.  We are based in a fully equipped vehicle workshop at our Whitley Depot site and are responsible for the repair and maintenance of approximately 500 items including vehicles and plant machinery and equipment. We are also responsible for the provision of fuel to our customers, and in addition provide a driver training service to many customers.

What is the job role?

You will have the opportunity to undertake MOT's, taxi tests, service, inspection, repair and maintenance of a varied range vehicles. The work ensures adherence to DVSA standards, taxi licensing policies and health and safety requirements. 

Who are we looking for?

In addition to your vehicle repair and maintenance and MOT tester qualification , you are likely to have extensive practical experience in fleet service, repair and maintenance of vehicles.

You will have knowledge of the legislative requirements of legally maintaining class 4, 5 and 7 vehicles. You will have a flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to a changing working environment to meet customer needs.

.Working Hours:  Mon - Thurs: 6.30 am - 3.00 pm. Fri 06.30am - 11.30am
