MAT Chief Financial Officer - Sidney Stringer Academy

What is the job role?

You will be employed by the trust which consists of five schools led by Sidney Stringer Academy. The schools are Radford Primary Academy, Ernesford Grange Community Academy, Riverbank Academy (Special School), Sidney Stringer Primary School and Sidney Stringer Academy.


As a member of the Trust’s Senior Leadership Team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will have strategic responsibility for all aspects of the Trust’s finance and business operations. Delivering operational rigour and high-level direction, the CFO will play an integral role in supporting the growth and development of The Sidney Stringer Multi Academy Trust and ensure it continues to be financially sustainable. The CFO will provide a strategic and cohesive approach to the business operations of the Trust and, therefore, will need to demonstrate experience and/or knowledge of HR, Operations, and Estate/Facilities management. They will line manage finance, business, operations, HR, and Estate/Facilities.

Who are we looking for?

The Sidney Stringer Multi Academy Trust CFO will need significant senior financial management and strategic leadership experience ideally within education but we will consider any application from a public or private sector. Alongside exceptional technical ability, you will be a strategic thinker with experience in building and empowering strong agile teams that engenders a positive and collaborative culture, sustaining high standards.
