What is the job role?

Tiverton Primary Special school is a growing school. We currently have 101 pupils on roll and are due to increase our pupil numbers in the next 2 years. Our pupils come from Coventry and all have an EHC Plan of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Our pupils are at the heart of all we do.

We already have a large number of committed staff, who share the school vision:

The Headteacher and Governors recognise the immense and valuable role played by all staff at the school.

The role of the Life Saver/Teaching Assistant at Tiverton School is invaluable in supporting the teaching, learning, care and behaviour for all pupils across the primary school.

We are looking to recruit for a Life Saver / Teaching Assistant.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working with students within a similar setting. However, we welcome candidate with a strong desire to work in the area of SEND who are willing to under take training.

You will need to hold an NVQ 2 qualification (or equivalent) or above. You will also need to hold a Life Saver qualification.

Work pattern: 35 hours per week, term time only & 1 week (39weeks)
