What is the job role?
37 hours per week, term time plus 2 weeks if desired (plus 2 weeks is negotiable and is not a role requirement)
Grade 4 – £19,698 - £23,080 p.a. pro rata
(actual salary - £17,800 - £20,860 – dependent on salary start point)

We are looking to appoint an efficient, organised and dedicated Library and Resources Officer to manage our school library and resources (reprographics) provision. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator looking to build a career in the education sector. We are looking for someone with a passion for reading and education, ambition and the ability to work with a strong team of teaching and support staff and who can also engage young people. We can provide an exceptional environment in which staff and pupils thrive. You must be able multi-task as the library and resources area is a thriving and central hub of school life. This will be a very busy but vital role, you will also be comfortable working with all school staff and happy to work with children of secondary school age.
You must be computer literate and proficient in use of a variety of applications, including the MS Office suite of programmes, be willing to manage the school library software and use other in-house applications as needed, for example Satchel 1; these are simple software applications for which training will be provided. You will also be part of the small team of staff involved in before and after school provision; for example, homework club and various library clubs such as chess and board games.

Role Requirements:
• An excellent administrator with existing library skills or a willingness to learn very quickly on the job
• Outstanding ICT skills
• Knowledge of, or willing to gain, specialist knowledge in particular areas, e.g. literacy and homework
• Dedicated, creative and hardworking individual
• A real willingness to learn new skills
